February 23rd: Fundraiser at Brigantine Del Mar

RCHS will have an information table, along with a few adoptable foster dogs. Brigantine is giving us full access to the restaurant and patio (where the dogs can hang out). “Dog People Are Cool” will have a booth, as well as free Cupcakes from Cupcake Squared, and a raffle area.

Cardiff Dog Days of Summer: 2017 date TBA Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society takes part in the Cardiff 101 Main Street “Dog Days of Summer” event each August. This canine festival and contest is the largest dog-centric event in San Diego with contests, pet adoption, and more than 200 vendors showcasing the latest products for dogs and the people who love them.

Doggie Street Festival: The Doggie Street Festival is dedicated to increasing dog and cat adoption through its yearly Festival. The event is designed to be an informative experience that promotes public awareness and educates on issues of responsible adoption, foster, spay/neuter and conscientious pet guardianship. RCHS will be there with some of our doggies up for adoption!

Labor Day – Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society will be Closed

The Combined Federal Campaign is known to be the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world with the number of participating charities estimated at over 20,000 nonprofit charitable organizations worldwide. We are honored to have been selected to participate in this year’s Charity Event in Long Beach, CA. to show our dedication to the rescue and shelter of abandoned companion animals, encouraging adoptions into loving homes, and promoting humane ideals through education and community outreach.

Fall Animal Camp – As with Spring and Summer Animal Camp at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society, Fall camp fills up quickly. This is two weeks of humane education and fun activities that teach children about the animals that share the planet.

Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society participates in the Community Resource Center‘s “Project Homeless Connect” to provide programs and services for members of San Diego’s homeless population and their pets.

 

November 2016

Carlsbad Village Faire  8am-4pm                                                                                                         The Village Faire features over 850 unique vendors with a little of everything: arts & crafts, antiques, unique clothing, items from around the world, and more. Children’s rides, an international food center, and an old-fashioned pancake breakfast guarantee that you’ll find fun for the whole family!” RCHS will have a booth on State Street (Right across from Garcia’s Mexican Food Restaurant).

Veterans Day – A great time to visit the Military Working Dog Memorial at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society in honor of all (2 footed and 4 pawed) who have stood in harm’s way protecting others.

 Encinitas Fall Festival – 9am to 4pm                                                                                                    Fall Festival is located down the center of six blocks of scenic South Coast Highway 101, two blocks from the Pacific Ocean…..draw crowds exceeding 100,000 and feature a booth arrangement that provides half of the vendors with two adjoining sides open to traffic, if they choose.”

17th: Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society “joins paws” with 200 other groups and organizations to provide people and their pets with Holiday Baskets.

Year round:

The Community Pet Food Bank at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society is open 9 – 11 AM on the first and third Saturdays of each month at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas. Donations of pet food, pet supplies, and program funding are accepted any time.
