Celebration of 2nd Chances: FOCAS on the Future

We used to call it the "Gala"

You DO NOT want to miss the 2012 "Celebration of Second Chances" on Saturday, September 29 at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe.

We used to call it the "Gala." Thought about changing it to "The Feast." There's great food prepared by the chefs of the Del Mar Country Club....but it's not all about eating.

*           Shindig? That sounds like a 1960's TV show.
*           Reception? Well...News 8's Jeff Zevely will return as our host and MC.
*           Soiree?  Gives the impression that everyone will wear long, flowing gowns...including News 8's Jeff Zevely. Scratch that.         

Let's call it what it is. A Celebration of Second Chances.

*           Second chances for pets that arrive through the RCHS / FOCAS program.
*           Second chances for victims who can escape domestic violence thanks to our Animal Safehouse Program.
*           Second chances for children to learn humanity at RCHS Animal Camp.
*           Second chances for senior citizens visited by our Pet Assisted Therapy dogs.

The "Celebration of Second Chances...FOCAS on the Future" will be held on Saturday, September 29 at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe. It starts at 5:30 so you and your guests can enjoy drinks on the patio overlooking the world famous golf course. We're expecting an absolutely stunning sunset at 6:35. Then the full moon at 8:19 will make this a perfect evening!

We'll debut a new video about the merger of Friends Of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) into RCHS. And every dollar raised will help to save lives and provide services for people and animals.
