Summer Camps

Rancho Coastal Humane Society is proud to offer summer camp again this year!
Below you will find information about the 8 weeks of summer camp we will be offering. 

All About our Pets
Week 1:  June 24-28
Week 2:  July 1-5
Week 3:  July 8-12FULL

Cost: $200 per child per week; 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Ages: 6-12
During the first 3 weeks of summer camp children will become responsible pet owners.  Campers will learn all they need to know about what their pet needs to live a happy and healthy life!  Each week will be dedicated to a particular pet: dogs, cats, small pets (rabbits, rats, hamsters), reptiles and fish! Spend a week in summer playing games, making crafts and interacting with the animals at Rancho Coastal Humane Society.

Animal Keepers
Week 4:  July 15-19 FULL

Cost: $225 per child per week; 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
Ages: 11-15
This camp is designed for older children who want to gain experience working in animal care and animal training. Students will work directly with shelter pets and animal care professionals to gain insight into the variety of animal careers and opportunities available. Students will also earn community service hours by assisting shelter workers in the daily animal care tasks.  This camp is ideal for students interested in working in animal care and those who have a passion for animal welfare.

Wildlife Among Us
Week 7: August 5-9
Week 8: August 12-16

Cost: $200 per child per week; 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Ages: 6-12
The last two weeks of camp will be all about wildlife.  Learn all about those wild animals that live among us.  Do you know we have the only marsupial in North America in our own backyard?  Presenters will teach children about local wildlife and how we can help preserve their habitat.  Campers will still have plenty of opportunities to meet adoptable dogs, cats and rabbits as well as other animals!
