There aren’t enough words to express how much your Rancho Coastal Humane Society appreciates our partnership with Big Brother, CBS All Access, and CBS.com.
For the first 18 seasons of Big Brother, CBS showed a fish tank when they turned off the “Live” cameras from the Big Brother house. People watched the fish while they chatted with other Big Brother fans.
This season, when the live feed was interrupted for a competition, set construction, or a vote, CBS switched to video of kittens, puppies, and bunnies from RCHS. It was an immediate success.
When pets impacted by Hurricane Harvey began arriving at RCHS, Big Brother showed them on CBS All Access and CBS.com told their story.
RCHS was contacted by Big Brother fans and animal lovers across the country. They asked questions about the pets they were watching. They shared stories about their own pets. They even joked about the squirrels who would sneak into a kennel full of puppies to steal a kibble or get a drink of water.
The best part is that Big Brother fans across the country and around the world visited their local shelters and rescues to find their new pets. They followed the message on CBS All Access, “Adopt – Don’t Shop.”
We’re working with Big Brother again and we hope to be back for next season!
Thanks to Big Brother, CBS All Access, and CBS.com for your generosity.
