Oh good gosh! What can we say about this guy that hasn’t already been said? We love him!
George is the pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 2-1/2 year old, 44 pound, Catahoula Leopard Dog mix.
He’s quite a character. George is happy as can be to sit on his crate or a table so he has a bird’s eye view.
This is a very active dog. George and his new owner will want to do some training together until they get to know each other. He’s going to need plenty of physical and mental stimulation to keep him occupied.
When you come to meet George at the shelter, don’t be surprised if you approach his kennel and George woofs at you. He has some hearing loss so he might not hear you approaching. Of course, when he sees you George will need to woof and remind you to stop and say hello. This is a very smart dog!
George was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS program from a crowded shelter in Louisiana.
The $145 adoption fee for George includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org.
Kennels and Cattery open 11 AM to 5 PM every day but Tuesday.
If this isn’t a good time to adopt, please make a donation by sponsoring a pet until it becomes available for adoption. After all, Every Animal Deserves a Tomorrow. ®
