There’s hardly a day that goes by without someone asking if there’s a way they can continue helping the animals at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society after they’re gone. In fact, we’ve had so many requests that RCHS President Judi Sanzo and the RCHS Legacy Society hosted a free workshop on May 30th featuring Jeff Isaac, “The Lawyer in Blue Jeans.”
Jeff is a certified estate planning attorney and Judi’s longtime friend. She says that Jeff’s “Blue Jeans Law” philosophy made him the perfect choice to conduct the workshop. He focused on legacy giving, pet trusts, and other estate planning needs. (That’s another question that we get every day. “How can I make sure my pet will be taken care of if it outlives me?”)
The RCHS Legacy Society honors those who are remembering the shelter by leaving a bequest or making a planned gift directly to RCHS or to the endowment fund.
It’s pretty casual. We had bagels, fruit, coffee, and juice. A couple people even brought their dogs along. Dogs that they adopted from RCHS! Take a look.
Might not sound exciting, it this is good stuff!! Jeff Isaac from The Lawyer in Blue Jeans is here helping us understand estate planning! Lawyer in Blue Jeans

Afterward, guests were invited to take a tour of the shelter. Judi and longtime Board member Sylvia Steding-Thieme personally conducted tours.
This first seminar went so well, by the time it was over people were already asking when we’ll hold the next one and whether they can bring their friends.
We plan to hold the seminars every two or three months. Seating is limited, so you’ll want to reserve a seat in advance. To make a reservation send an e-mail to [email protected] or you can call Kelly at 760-519-8721.
