Quacker-ers and Milk at your San Diego Wildlife Center

One of our friends surprised us last week when he said, “It must be quackers and milk at your Wildlife Center.”

He explained that he closely follows your Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s San Diego Wildlife Center on the website and Facebook. In the past couple of weeks he’s seen some truly amazing stories of how the Wildlife Center is saving lives.

He saw the first Spring ducklings arrive.

He was happy to see how the public is getting more and more involved with us to help baby rabbits and squirrels.

The story about the Great Horned Owl really surprised him.

He had never heard of anyone helping a bat. The thought never even occurred to him.

He was especially happy to learn that the Wildlife Center will have a booth in Balboa Park on April 26th for the Friends of Balboa Park Arbor Day Festival. CHECK OUT DETAILS HERE!

Back to his comment about the Quackers and Milk. The baby ducks and our resident adult duck, Howard, can be a bit noisy. He also figured we must be going through a lot of baby wild animal formula during baby season.

He’s right on both counts. But that’s what we do. Our mission statement says, “We are dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of San Diego wildlife while promoting co-existence with our local ecosystem.”

Even if you weren’t able to attend our first-ever Baby Shower last month, you can still help.
