Soft Rock… Soothing Strings… Tranquil Reggae Beats…
The right music has the power to calm and heal the soul, not only for us, but also for shelter animals. You might be thinking Beethoven, Brahms and Bach, but clinical studies show that, after time, dogs become bored with classical music. Those studies show that exposure to music – especially reggae and soft rock – can lower a dog’s heart rate, reduce barking and ease stress.
That’s why Rancho Coastal Humane Society wants to bring back the music throughout our 29-dog kennels.
Our old audio system simply quit, taking with it the tranquility it can bring to the often-stressful shelter environment. We are running wires, hanging speakers and purchasing a tuner.
We need your help to raise the $6,000 dollars needed to upgrade our sound system.
Donate Today to the “Bring Back the Music” fund!
Your donation will be music to our (floppy) ears! Our potential adopters, staff and volunteers will love it, too.
(Don’t worry about our kitties, the sound system in the Cattery is just fine, but our bunnies may soon be “binkying” to music in the Rabbitat.)
Thank you for caring about our animals!
