Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) animal camps are a fun educational experience led by trained educators that encourages respect and understanding for all living beings. Animal Camps are offered in the Summer, Spring and Fall for children ages 6 – 14. These camps book up quickly, so watch for registration dates and make your plans!

Our construction project should be wrapping up by the end of June so we are happy to announce we will be offering 4 weeks of summer camp.
Week 1: July 22-26- FULL
Week 2: July 29- August 2- FULL
Week 3: August 5-9- FULL
Week 4: August 12-16- FULL
- Time: 9:00am–3:00pm M-F
- Weeks 1 & 3 are for campers ages 6-10 Cost $220
- Weeks 2 & 4 is for campers ages 11-14 Cost $240
- 1 group of 14 children per week. Week 4 of camp for the older children will be limited to 10 campers per week.
- 2 Humane Educators and 1 teen volunteer per week
- Do to limited space campers can only register for one week of camp.
- Scholarships Available: Email our education department for how to apply.

Using hands-on games, activities, arts and crafts, guest speakers and of course live animals, children are taught about animals and their importance in our world. Each day of camp provides a window into the life of shelter animals, rescued animals, wildlife conservation and animal care!

Fall Animal Camp
Our week long Fall Camps use hands-on games, activities, arts and crafts, guest speakers and of course live animals to teach children about animals and their importance in our world. Each day of camp provides a window into the life of shelter animals, rescued animals, wildlife conservation and animal care!
Appropriate for ages: 6–11 years old
Time: 9:00am–3:00pm M-F
Cost: $220 for the week.
Please review the following modifications we have made to meet current safety standards.
- Time: 9:00am–3:00pm M-F
- 1 group of 12 children per week. Animal Keepers camp will be limited to 10 campers per week.
- 2 Humane Educators and 1 teen volunteer per week
- Increased hand washing (upon arrival, before and after meeting animals, before and after eating, before checkout)
- Increased supply and surface sanitizing
- Limited supply sharing
- Masks are optional
- Contact free sign in and sign out process
- Assigned designated areas for personal items
- Lots more outdoor activities

- Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis and all fees must be paid at time of registration.
- Please ensure your choice of dates and session is correct. We regret that we are unable to make any changes once your registration has been officially processed.
- Do to limited space campers can only register for one week of camp. If interested in more than one week your child can be put on the wait-list.
- Camp sessions are limited to 10 or 14 campers each week of camp.
- Please read over our CAMP FAQs for more information regarding camp before registering. Be aware camp size has changed due to he pandemic and children will be wearing masks and outside more during this time.
- Please note we have age limits and your child must be of the appropriate age to attend certain camps.
- We do not separate children by ages. Campers ranging from 6-10 years will spend the whole day together.
