Crushes of the Month – Fetch April 2025
Mitzvah
Mitzvah is a 1.5-year-old, 58-pound, female, Cattledog mix.
She was part of a group of puppies who were surrendered to a crowded shelter. When she wasn’t adopted and they needed space, she was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through our Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program.
Her report card says Mitzvah is a lovable, soft-hearted soul who is eager to meet her new family. She needs a peaceful, quiet home where she can feel safe. Her new owners will need to give her time to develop trust at her own pace.
The $145 adoption fee for Mitzvah includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society. If you adopt Mitzvah during our spring promotion, since she’s over 20 pounds, her adoption fee will be just $20.
Baba
Baba is a 7-year-old, 10-pound, male, Siamese / Seal Point mix cat.
He was surrendered to a crowded shelter when his owner died. When nobody adopted him, Baba was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through our Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program.
He’s a tender-hearted boy with a soft voice and a love for quiet moments. He’s still learning to feel fully at ease, but his sweet chatter is a sign of the trust he’s building. Baba finds comfort in calm spaces, cozy nooks and gentle companionship.
The $75 adoption fee for Baba includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip. If his adopter is 60 years or older, the fee will be paid by a generous Rancho Coastal Humane Society benefactor.
