Crushes of the Month – Fetch September 2025

A Beautiful Husky with Rockstar Good Looks
Pretty Polly Pocket is a 5-1/2-year-old, 62-pound, female, Siberian Husky mix.
This poor girl got lost. A good Samaritan rescued her and took her to a shelter so her owner could find her. When nobody came for her, Polly Pocket was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through our FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) Adoption program.
She’s a social girl who Is always ready for a treat. She’s learning that polite paws get the most attention. She will fit right in with an active family that is familiar with Husky antics and eager to continue her training.
Polly has one brown eye and one blue eye. That’s common for Huskies. It’s called Heterochromia. It just makes her more gorgeous.
Her $145 adoption fee includes medical exam, spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.

From Stray to RCHS and Hopefully Soon to a New Home.
Chakapuli has come full circle. She’s our kitty crush for this month.
This 2-year-old, 8-pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Brown Tabby coat was a stray before she was taken to a crowded shelter.
When nobody came to reclaim her, she was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through our FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) Adoption program. Named for a Georgian stew, Chakapuli is a perfect example of sweet and spicy!!
We’re crushing on her because she’s an overall friendly and outgoing cat who loves to play. When she gets tired, Chakapuli is ready to find a quiet place of her own where she can rest without interruption.
The $100 adoption fee for Chakapuli includes medical exams, spay, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip.
