Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s Community Pet Food Bank provides food and other supplies for people on fixed incomes, the sick and disabled, working families that struggle financially, and the homeless. We’re not here to judge. We’re here to keep people and their pets together.
We love this quote from author Jack London. “A bone to the dog is not charity. Charity is the bone shared with the dog, when you are just as hungry as the dog.”
The RCHS Community Pet Food Bank is open on the first and third Saturday mornings of each month from 9 to 11 AM at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas. We’re scheduling new locations, days, and times. Find out more or make a donation by visiting RCHS, calling 760-753-6413 or emailing [email protected]
There are plenty of ways you can help too! Hold a pet food/supply drive, package pet food, or donate today! Look for the RCHS Blue Barrels around town and at these permanent locations:
Vons- La Costa, 6961 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009
Albertson’s- La Costa, 7660 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009

Thanks to Troop 1201 for helping bring about the Blue Barrel Program at local collection points. If you’d like to host a Blue Barrel, please call (760) 753-6413.
“The assistance you have provide us with is priceless! It gives me assurance that my dogs will eat proper food and I will not be separated due to the inability to afford pet food. I love them and they share their unconditional love with me its wonderful.
Thank you for keeping my family together”
