President’s Letter May 2020

On May 2nd, I celebrate two years as President and CEO of Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS). If you’ve been reading my Fetch letters, you know I’ve been following the letters of the alphabet and today we’ve landed at “Q.”  No, I am not going to use the word, “Quarantine!”  Instead, how about:

We won’t Quit!

RCHS pivoted from the norm to the “new normal,” and has adapted to the changes necessary for continued success, like our staff working together in harmony, some six feet apart and masked, others remotely, but “all in” for restarting adoptions by appointment only!  We are reaching out to pet owners trying to survive pet loss, financial distress, medical issues and domestic violence. RCHS needs to shine, even in the darkest moments!  Help us be the beacon of light and hope for the animals and people who depend on us every day.

Since we’re all doing things a lot differently these days, this month I wanted to speak with you face-to-face – at a safe distance – through video.

Stay safe and love your animals!
