Crushes of the Month – December 2022

Hadley

Our Kennel Crush for December is Miss Hadley. She’s a 4-1/2-year-old, 58-pound, female, Shepherd mix.

Hadley was surrendered to one of our rescue partners in 2020. She was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Services.) She’s been adopted, then returned. Hadley likes playing with other dogs in the dog park but can be selective when it comes to smaller dogs. She doesn’t like cats. She needs an active family that can keep her occupied both physically and mentally.

The $145 adoption fee for Hadley includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.

Etain

Etain is our current cat crush. In mythology, Etain is the goddess of love, transformation and rebirth. Our Etain fits that profile purr-fectly. Until recently, she was known as “Miso”. We felt a name change was in order now that she is no longer under the care of our medical team and is “reborn” in a sense.

Etain is a 7-1/2-year-old, 13-pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat with a brown Tabby coat. Until recently, she was known as “Miso”. She is no longer under the care of medical team and is “reborn” in a sense so we felt a name change was in order.

She was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society three years ago from a rescue partner in Riverside County through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS.) When she wasn’t adopted after a few months, she went into foster care. She has stayed with fosters for three years, but what she really needs is a permanent home.  Etain is a great cat! She just needs a chance.

The $75 adoption fee for Etain includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip.
