Crushes of the Month – March 2022

Moose, Our FOCAS Crush From Bonita

How could we not have a crush on handsome Moose? He’s a 3-year-old, 68-pound, male, Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix.

Moose was picked up as a stray and taken to our rescue partner the San Diego Department of Animal Services in Bonita three times. His owner reclaimed him the first two times but left him there the third time. After that Moose was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through our FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program.

He’s friendly and playful and loves people. Moose is quite curious, and he sometimes needs to take apart his dog toys to see what’s inside. He will woof to remind you to pay attention or give him treats. At just 3-years old, Moose just needs a family committed to teaching him manners as he’s smart and ready to please.

The $145 adoption fee for Moose includes medical exam, neuter, updated vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if the adopter lives in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.

Alloy, Our FOCAS Crush From Chula Vista

We have a major crush on Alloy. He’s a 2-year-old, 11-pound, male, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Blue Cream Tabby coat.

Alloy was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society from our rescue partner in Chula Vista through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program.

When he first arrived, the animal care attendants noticed that he had a soft and relaxed posture. Alloy is a confident cat. He doesn’t hide under a blanket in his enclosure like some cats do when they arrive. He loves to chase feathers and balls. Alloy always greets guests into the Cattery with a polite purr and a soft Meow.

If you’re looking for a playful cat, you should meet Alloy. The $100 adoption fee for Alloy includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip.
