Crushes of the Month – March 2023

Lennox

UPDATE: Lennox has been adopted!!!!

Lennox is our kennel crush. She’s a two-year-old, 50-pound female Pit Bull mix. She was transferred to us from a rescue partner in the Imperial Valley through our FOCAS program.

We noticed right away that Lennox was friendly and playful. She has plenty of energy and she jumps for joy (and attention). Her new family will need to remind her about “Four on the Floor” rule that means not giving her any attention until all four of her paws are on the floor.

Also, Lennox needs to “Trade Up.” If you want the toys she has, you’ll need to trade her for something better. It teaches her that humans are givers, not just takers.

Her adoption fee of $145 includes medical exam, spay, up-to-date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.

Toby and Simba

Our current kitty crushes are a pair of bonded brothers who need to go to their new home together. Toby and Simba are two and a half-year-old, male Domestic Short Hair Cats with Orange and White Tabby coats.

They were surrendered to Rancho Coastal Humane Society in 2020 when their owner could no longer keep them. They were adopted right away and spent more than two years in their home. Now, they are back at RCHS looking for their forever family.

They lived with adults and teenagers. They slept in a cat condo at night and had free run of the house during the day. They both like playing with toys, Toby more than Simba.

As a bonded pair the $100 adoption fee covers both Toby and Simba. It includes medical exams, neuters, up-to-date vaccinations, and registered microchips.
