Crushes of the Month – February 2023

Angel

Since she arrived at Rancho Coastal Humane Society, we don’t think there’s been a minute when Angel wasn’t smiling! She’s a 4-year-old, 96-pound, female German Shepherd mix.

Angel was transferred to RCHS through FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) in 2019. She came from one of our rescue partners in the Imperial Valley.

She was adopted, then returned three years later when her family moved. She was adopted again, then returned after a few weeks for being too active. She’s an Angel! She needs a family that will help her find her wings.

The $145 adoption fee for Angel includes medical exam, spay, up-to-date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.

Piper

Our kitty crush is Miss Piper. She’s a 4-1/2-year-old, 9-pound, female Domestic Short Hair cat with a blue and white coat.

Piper was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through FOCAS from one of our local rescue partners. She was adopted a few weeks later. More than four years later, that family had a baby and Piper didn’t seem to be adjusting to that major change in the home.

She’s fine living with kids 10 or older. She might do best as the only cat in her home. Piper will also need a “safe space” where she can take a break.

The $100 adoption fee for Piper includes medical exam, spay, up-to-date vaccinations, and registered microchip.
