IMG_1534Your donations or purchases directly benefit the homeless animals in our care. Rancho Coastal Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and contributions are tax deductible.

What to Donate
Donations of new or used merchandise are accepted at the shop during regular business hours. Please do not deliver Thrift Shop donations to the shelter.

The Thrift Shop especially appreciates donations of clothing, tools, small appliances, furniture, household goods, books, electronics and jewelry.

How Your Donation Helps

When you donate quality items to the Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop, you help us support the homeless animals under our care. The money earned from the resale of your unneeded clothing, jewelry, household goods, furniture, etc., goes directly to help pay for food, shelter, medical and adoption expenses as we work to provide forever-homes to homeless companion animals.

Your donation also supports community recycling efforts and contributes directly to the local economy. Our thrift shop employs local residents and is an important shopping resource for our community and surrounding towns. When you donate to us, you know that many others in our community will benefit.

We rely 100% on donations from the community. We do not buy from or sell usable merchandise to bundlers or other charities. We recycle what we cannot sell. Good, quality donations are essential to our effort.

Your donations help save lives, thank you!

To Donate

Please bring donations to the front of the shop. If there is space, and you have a several boxes or bags, please feel free to pull up to the loading area at the front of the shop.

We accept new or used donations from 10 am to 5 pm, everyday.

We love to get your donations, but can only take them if they are clean and dry and in working and usable condition, suitable for immediate resale. Used clothing should be washed or dry-cleaned and in good repair. Also, we do not accept donations when it is raining unless packaged for the rain.

Please check the acceptable items sheet for guidelines on what we can or cannot take and resell. Or, come in and browse the changing stock for ideas! We may not be able to accept some items based on condition or suitability for sale in our shop, thank you for understanding.

Yard sale items can be donated if in good condition. Please remove your price tags.

Please let us know if you are donating collectibles, fragile items or merchandise of particular value. If your item has been appraised, please tell us.

Please include any instructions or manuals. Buyers appreciate them!

Delivering your items to us increases your donation’s value, by saving us gas and time charges. However, if you have large items of furniture and no means to drop them off, we provide pick up service for large merchandise. Please call 760-753-0970 to schedule.

We love phone calls. Please call the Thrift Shop if you have questions about your donation.
