Pets of the Month – July 2021

Randall is a Gentle Giant

https://rchumanesociety.org/randall/

Randall is almost 5-years-old. He’s an 83-pound, male, Doberman Pinscher mix.
Randall was a stray in the Imperial Valley before he was picked up, taken to one of our rescue partners, then transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through our FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) transport program.

Randall has scars, sadly, indicating he had once been mistreated. He was adopted, then returned 8 months later because he could jump their 4-foot fence. Randall needs a secure yard.

Despite his rough start, Randall is a gentle soul and is very food motivated. That’s helpful when it comes to training.

If you want a big, lovable dog, the $145 adoption fee for Randall includes medical exam, neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if the adopter lives in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.

Woody and Buzz Lightyear are Besties

Our Fetch cats this month are the dynamic duo of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. They’re bonded 7-year old males, Domestic Medium Hair cats who need to be adopted together.

Like more than 90% of the pets adopted from RCHS, they were transferred to us through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) transport program. These two came from one of our crowded rescue partners in Riverside County.

They can be timid and reserved at first. They’ll do best in a home that understands the importance of giving them time and space to warm up. They could live with kids 10 or older, as long as the kids respect their personal space.

The $75 adoption fee for Woody and Buzz includes their medical exams, neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, and registered microchips.
