We’ll Never Break Our Arms Patting Ourselves On the Backs….But….

At your Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS), “Thanks” comes in many forms. The tray of muffins that magically shows up in the staff room. The case of cat food donated just in time for the Community Pet Food Bank to deliver it to struggling seniors and veterans.

Much of the thanks we get comes in the form of wagging tails and gentle purrs. Imagine our surprise when animal lovers Lori and Mike Conger wanted to host an event in  honor of RCHS!

“Celebrate 100 with Us” was held on Wednesday evening, February 26 at the Conger’s home in Rancho Santa Fe. It was to celebrate and recognize RCHS earning a perfect 100 point score on Charity Navigator, the largest charity evaluator in the U.S. This makes RCHS one of only five working animal shelters in the nation to earn a perfect score.

Little did any of us know that Celebrate 100 would bring an extra surprise. Just two days before the event RCHS earned its Platinum seal on GuideStar!

The highest-level possible, it’s another indicator of our commitment to transparency.

While we might remind you once in a while that we’re doing good things for pets and pet owners in need, it means so much more when others help tell our story. Please check us out. Compare your Rancho Coastal Humane Society to other animal shelters across the country.

If you haven’t been here lately, please come for a visit. Talk to our volunteers. Talk to our staff. Schedule time to sit with RCHS President Judi Sanzo.

You’ll see that your Rancho Coastal Humane Society remains a place where Every Animal Deserves a Tomorrow®.
