Winter Crushes 2024

Bagel

Our kennel crush is Miss Bagel. She’s a 2.5-year-old, 45-pound Pit Bull mix.

Pretty little Bagel was transferred from a rescue partner in the Imperial Valley through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS). She had only been at that shelter for a week before coming to RCHS. She was a hit with our staff and volunteers from the start! The volunteers say that Bagel is ready to leave a paw print on your heart. She’s a “people-dog” who needs an understanding family to help her become a confident adult.

Maybe it’s time for you to spread your wings and welcome Bagel into your home.

The $145 adoption fee for Bagel includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.

Mack

Mack is a 7-year-old, 10-pound, male, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Grey and White Tabby coat.

Mack lived with several other cats. When his owner was no longer able to care for him, he surrendered Mack to one of Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s rescue partners. After that, Mack was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) before making his way to us.

The animal care attendants in the Cattery say that Mack is the purr-fect, low-key, cuddle buddy. They call him “a master of independent play” and they say he adores lounging in cozy spots around the house.  The $75 adoption fee for Mack includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip.
