The “Happy Tails Reading Program” takes place on Friday, April 26th from 4 to 5 PM at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Children from 6 to 12 years old read to the adoptable cats, dogs and rabbits. The 26th is National Kids and Pets Day and National Hairball Awareness Day.
Meet dogs available for adoption from your Rancho Coastal Humane Society at the Encinitas Street Fair, April 27th and 28th on Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas. Visit the RCHS booth in front of Detour Salon at 594 South Coast Highway 101. Hours are 9 AM to 5 PM.
The 28th is National Pet Parents Day.

May 3rd is “Wear Two Different Colored Shoes Day.” (No, we didn’t make that up!)

Thursday, June 6th – It’s La Jolla’s largest animal charity event. The 6th Annual Paws and Pints La Jolla hosted by La Jolla Veterinary Hospital and benefiting the FOCAS program at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society and FACE Foundation.
There will be Live and Silent auctions, raffle prizes, activities for kids, and a VW Bus Photo Booth. The event runs from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at The Lot at 7611 Fay Avenue in La Jolla.
