Holy Macaroni! Spring Animal Camp is almost full!
With a month to go until Spring Animal Camp, RCHS Humane Educator Lizzie Hart tells us the first week is full. There are a few openings left in Week 2 running April 8 through 12. If you have a young animal lover who wants to attend Spring Camp, you better get a move on!
Now let’s talk about Summer Animal Camp. It starts on June 24th and runs through August 23rd. If it’s anything like last year, Summer Animal Camp will be mostly full by the time Spring Camp ends. Our best advice is to check the website every day so you’ll be ready to register right away. https://rchumanesociety.org/summer-animal-camp/
“All About our Pets” for 6 to 12 year olds runs June 24th through July 12th. It teaches kids to be responsible pet owners.
“Animal Keepers” is for campers age 11 through 14. Lizzie says, “Animal Keepers is designed for older children who want to gain experience working in animal care and learn more about the world of domestic animals. That runs July 15th through August 2nd with another week of camp August 19th through the 23rd.
We’ll also have two weeks of “Wildlife Among Us.” That’s for 6 to 12 year olds and it runs August 5th through 9th and the 12th through the 16th. Lizzie Hart tells us, “Campers learn all about those wild animals that live among us. Presenters will teach children about wildlife and how we can help preserve their habitat. Campers will still have plenty of opportunities to meet adoptable dogs, cats and rabbits as well as other animals!”
Once again, if you want your 8 to 12 year old to attend Spring Camp April 8th through the 12th, you need to register them right now. https://co.clickandpledge.com/advanced/default.aspx?wid=97177
For Summer Animal Camp, keep an eye on the website so you can register right away when Lizzie opens registration.
“Opening won’t last long. We keep a waiting list in case there are cancellations, but that doesn’t happen very often.”
