Every month in Fetch we ask you to take a minute to scan the Wish List to see if there’s anything we need that you already have.

It really is amazing how often somebody pulls up, pops open the trunk of their car or the hatch on their SUV, and donates something they saw on the Wish List.

Of course, we always need towels and blankets. They give the animals some comfort while they’re waiting to be adopted. We use them by the hundreds, so we always need more.

Once in a while we’ll hear a visitor to the shelter say, “You know what I wish you guys had?”

That’s music to our ears! We’re honored that you care and that you want to lend a helping paw.

This can be anything from signs to direct guests around the shelter, crates to replace the old ones that have seen their better days, a piece of medical equipment to help the pets recover from surgery, or something more specialized for the San Diego Wildlife Center or the Thrift Shop.

So, what is it that you “Wish us guys had?” We want to know!
