Keeping Families Together Means Keeping the Pet Food Bank Busy

Since the start of the pandemic nearly one year ago, RCHS has seen a sharp increase
in pet families seeking assistance at our Community Pet Food Bank. In what was
supposed to be temporary, extra days were added from two Saturdays per month to
every Saturday.

This month, we’ve decided to make that change permanent. With the ongoing economic
impact of the pandemic, RCHS wants to make sure that no one is forced to give up their
pet because they can’t afford pet food.

The Community Pet Food Bank at Rancho Coastal Humane Society will be open
EVERY Saturday morning from 9 AM to 11 AM at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas.

All are welcome, including seniors on a fixed income, families trying to make ends meet, military veterans and those who are homeless.

No appointment or proof of income-level is required. Please share with those you know who might benefit from this assistance.

For more information go to SDpets.org or visit the Community Pet Food Bank any Saturday morning between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
