Summit is a sweet Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is still learning that the world can be a safe and welcoming place. He has a difficult history with men and can be very shy at first, so he is looking for a gentle, patient family that will give him the time and space he needs to transition out of the shelter environment. Once Summit feels safe and comfortable, his energetic puppy personality begins to shine, and he’s ready to play, explore, and enjoy life with his people. He is already potty trained, but he does have a history of being an escape artist, so a secure environment and thoughtful management will be important in his new home. With patience, consistency, and plenty of positive experiences, Summit has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
