Pets of the Month: Leap Year Special!

This story is about a cat named Rocky. If you want to get in the mood….here’s his theme song. You can go ahead and click on it. We’ll wait.

THEME SONG

Rocky was transferred to your Rancho Coastal Humane Society from another shelter through our FOCAS program. That was six years ago. He was adopted right away.

Now Rocky is ten. You would think he might have slowed down a little bit. Nope. He still thinks like, acts like, and has the energy of a kitten! His owner couldn’t keep up with him anymore, so Rocky is back with us and looking for a new home. (You might call his next home “Rocky III.”)

Here he is. Take a look.

Come meet Rocky. If it’s not the right time for you to adopt, you might know someone who is looking for a new cat. Or, you can make a donation to help pay for Rocky’s care until his new family finds him.

In the kennels this month we’re spotlighting Hadley.

She’s a 2 year old, 58-pound, male Dutch Shepherd mix with a brown brindle coat. She’s shy when she meets people, but that doesn’t last long. When she feels safe, Hadley loves to cuddle. She needs an active home and family.

And since February is Adopt a Rescued Rabbit Month, let’s hop over to the Rabbitat to meet Mary Hoppins. She’s a 1-1/2 year old, 3-1/2 pound, female, Harlequin mix.

The care providers describe her as “reserved.” She loves snuggling with her toys.

2020 is Leap Year and this Saturday, February 29th is Leap Day…the perfect day to visit the Rabbitat and take advantage of our Leap Year special, all rabbit adoptions are $25 (normally $40) through March 15.
