New RCHS Program Assists Seniors with the Cost of Veterinary Care

Keeping pets and their people together is part of our mission at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. We know that veterinary care for the pets of seniors on a fixed income can be a challenge. Thanks to an anonymous donor, RCHS is able to launch the Veterinary Care Assistance Program for Seniors. This Program provides financial assistance, resources and support to senior pet parents (60 years and older) facing economic hardship in providing veterinary care for their adult pets. The Program covers expenses related to quality of life, medical issues and emergency veterinary care. An applicant must be on a fixed or limited income. Financial documentation, a written estimate and treatment plan from a licensed San Diego County veterinarian are required.
