Join us at RCHS signature event, the 2020 5K Paw Walk in the Garden on Saturday, February 15 from 8 AM to Noon at the San Diego Botanic Garden at 450 Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas. Proceeds benefit your Rancho Coastal Humane Society and San Diego Botanic Garden. Meet puppies available for adoption. Watch us on the morning of February 2nd for the Fox 5 Puppy Bowl.
The Pet Loss Support Group can help you with the grief of losing a pet. Meetings take place twice each month. For more information call 760-753-6413 or log on to sdpets.org. Upcoming dates include Saturday, February 8 at 9am and Wednesday, February 19 at 6pm.
February 9-15 is National Secondhand Wardrobe Week. It’s the purr-fect time to visit the RCHS Thrift Shop at 120 Aberdeen Drive in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Drop off your donations, then shop ‘til you drop.
February 14 is Valentine’s Day. Find the love of your life! Visit the rabbitat, cattery, and kennels at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Make your donation to Love Across the World and share your love with Australian wildlife!
The 18th is Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day and National Drink Wine Day. (These aren’t pet related. They just sounded like fun.)
The 20th is Love your Dog Day/Love your Pet Day. Isn’t that every day?
The Happy Tales reading program at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society helps improve a child’s reading proficiency, fosters compassion for animals, and soothes the animals waiting to be adopted. The 23rd is National Dog Biscuit Day. Yum!
On February 25th we’ll observe World Spay Day USA.
Saturday, February 29th is the ideal day to visit the Rabbitat in observance of “Leap Day!”
