What are you waiting for? Tickets are on sale now for your Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s Celebration of Second Chances. It’s our signature event and takes place on Saturday, September 28 from 5 to 9 PM at Cape Rey Carlsbad at 1 Ponto Road, Carlsbad. The theme is “Sapphire Night – Where the Animals Shine.” Enjoy a spectacular sunset, ocean view, festive cocktails, coastal cuisine and entertainment. The Celebration supports RCHS programs for people and animals. Tuesday, September 10th – Wednesday, September 11th. Rancho Coastal Humane Society is one of the sponsors of the San Diego Planning Partnership free educational workshops on estate planning, pet trusts and long-term care. We all need a plan regardless of income or economic resources. The workshops take place at the RCHS Education Center. Pre-registration is required. Monday, September 2nd is Labor Day. Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society will be closed. Don’t worry. Staff members and volunteers will be taking care of the animals. In fact, many of our volunteers look forward to starting a holiday morning at RCHS. There’s no traffic and they get to spend extra time with each animal.

Thursday, September 5th – Watch our website, sdpets.org, and social media channels for information about the Grand Opening of the new “Catio Café” at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. We’ll also have a cat adoption special during September’s Happy, Healthy Cat Month. Donate dry cat food and get a discounted adoption fee on cats all September long.
Sunday, September 8th is National Pet Memorial Day. Honor a pet or person in your life by purchasing an engraved brick in our Military Working Dog Memorial garden at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. It’s the only private memorial of its kind west of the Mississippi River. Proceeds benefit RCHS programs for people and animals.
Join us on Sunday, September 8th from 10 AM to 2 PM for Brunch at Nick and G’s Restaurant and Bar at 6106 Paseo Delicias in Rancho Santa Fe. There will be RCHS adoptable dogs, cats and even a rabbit on the patio. Proceeds benefit your Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
